1. General

1.1 How does it works ?

  • Once you are on hapy ! Invite or get invited by selecting your interest from the discovery button 20
  • Once done people with similar interest will be able to view your (invitation) and match you
  • Swipe right to like/accept or swipe left to pass/decline the invitation (profile)
  • Once you swipe right/accept, a notification will be sent to the other user. He/She can confirm or decline your request
  • Once confirmed you can chat and carry on from there

1.2 How do I invite ?

Click on the filter button on the discovery screen and create your invitation .20

  • Select your interest ( reason ) to invite .
  • Select the gender , age and distance (reach ) .
  • Enter your message , add image or a voice note .
  • Choose the venue , time date and location .
  • And invite.

1.3 How do I get invited ?

  • Select your interest ( reason ) to get invited.
  • Select the gender , age and distance (reach ) and location and press save /go .

1.4 What all i can do with hapy ?

You can invite or get invited someone for a coffee, luch , dinner date , or a sporting event , challenge someone for a soccer match , or a game of poker , movie , clubbing , concerts or a event . You can also create a profile and find your life partner . If you are a great cook or a musician invite others to learn your passion . Business can attend a startup event , mentoring session , hackathon , pitc

2. Sign up and login

2.1 What is the minimum age requirement?

The minimum age requirement for Hapy is 18 years old. If you’re under 18 years old and have an account, it will not be deleted, but it will be disabled. If you’d like to delete your account, please visit your Settings.

2.2 How do i log in ?

Dowload hapy from android and apple app store . Click on log in with facebook . currently we only allow acess with facebook login .

2.3 I can’t log in.

This may be temporary so I would suggest trying again at a later time. Please check for any updates. If the issue persists, try reinstalling the app. To reinstall, just delete the app from your phone and download hapy again. As long as you don’t delete your account, this won’t delete your matches and messages

2.4 Why does hapy need to access my photos / camera roll?

If you want to upload profile photos directly from your phone, access to your photos. If you denied access to your photos, go to ‘Settings’ on your phone, find ‘ and enable photo access.

2.5 The app keeps crashing.

Make sure you have the latest version of hapy and that your phone’s operating system is up-to-date, then try force quitting the app. If the issue persists, try reinstalling the app. To reinstall, just delete the app from your phone and download it again. As long as you don’t delete your account, this won’t delete your matches and messages.

2.6 Will I lose my matches if I delete the app?

As long as you don’t delete your account, deleting the app won’t delete any of your matches or messages.

3 . Profile and settings

3.1 How do I edit my job and school info?

You can edit your profile to adjust what you share on hapy. First, make sure your school / job info is up to date on Facebook. To edit your school and work information on hapy:

  • Tap the icon on the top left-hand corner of the main screen
  • Tap on your profile photo
  • Select ‘Edit’
  • Scroll down to the ‘Current Work’ and ‘School’ headings

Note: if you have recently updated your school / work information on Facebook, the changes may take up to a few days to reflect on hapy .

3.2 How do I change my age?

If you want to change your age on hapy, you’ll have to delete your account and start over. Deleting your hapy account will delete all your matches and messages. If you wish to proceed, follow the steps below:

  • Delete your hapy account
  • Add your actual birthdate to your Facebook profile
  • Create a new hapy account

3.3 How do I change my name?

Hapy pulls information from Facebook to create your profile. Simply update your name on Facebook and it will update on hapy in the next few days. If your name doesn’t update after a week, you might have to delete your hapy account and start over. Deleting your hapy account will delete all your matches and messages. If you wish to proceed, follow the steps below:

  • Delete your hapy account
  • Update your name on Facebook
  • Create a new hapy account.

3.4 How do I edit my profile?

To edit your profile, tap the icon on the top left-hand corner of the main screen, tap on your profile photo, and select ‘Edit’. You can add up to 5 photos, edit your bio, add your school and job info, and select your gender , martial status , email . Some information highlighted cannot be edited .

3.5 How do I change my interests / page likes?

Your interests and page likes will update automatically, hapy periodically pulls this info from Facebook .

3.6 I can’t change my settings.

Make sure you have the latest version of hapy . If the issue persists, please try again in a few hours.

3.7 How do I delete my account?

For security purposes, if you want to delete your account, you’ll need to do it directly on the app. You will permanently lose your matches, messages and all other information associated with your account.
To delete your account, follow the steps below:

  • If you deleted the app, download the app again
  • Tap the icon on the top left-hand corner of the main screen
  • Go to ‘Settings’ or ‘App Settings’
  • Scroll down and select ‘Delete Account’.You’ll see a message that says ‘Account successfully deleted’
    Bear in mind, if you log in again after deleting your account, we create a whole new account for you.
  • Note: Deleting the app does not delete your account. If you subscribed to hapy premium, deleting the app and/or your account does not cancel your subscription.

4 . Photos / media

4.1 How do I add a profile photo?

You can upload profile photos from Facebook or from your phone directly

  • Tap the icon on the top left-hand corner of the main screen
  • Tap on your profile photo
  • Select ‘Edit’
  • Choose one of the available spaces to add a photo

4.2 I can’t upload photos.

Make sure you have the latest version of hapy.

If you are having trouble uploading a photo from Facebook, make sure your pictures are in a public album or at least visible to your friends (not you only). You can also try moving the pictures to a different album on Facebook.

4.3 I accidentally denied hapy access to my photos.

If you denied hapy access to your photos / camera roll, go to ‘Settings’ on your phone, find ‘hapy’ and enable photo access.

If you denied hapy access to your Facebook photos: force quit the app, open hapy again, and grant us permission to access your photos when prompted.

When you open hapy again, if you see a screen that says: “hapy disabled”, just go to the iOS settings on your device, find Facebook, and enable hapy .

5 . Discovery (Swiping through other users)

5.1 What is Discovery?

Discovery is the part of the app where you get to swipe through other users. If you turn Discovery off, you will not be shown to anyone in Discovery. You can still see and chat with your matches. You can turn Discovery on or off in ‘Settings’ or ‘Discovery Settings’.

Note: People you have already liked may still have the opportunity to see your profile and like you back; this means you may still get new matches after you’ve turned Discovery off.

5.2 I accidentally left-swiped someone, can I get them back?

Only hapy premium subscribers can Rewind their last swipe. To subscribe, just tap the yellow arrow button (Rewind) on the main screen and follow the instructions.

5.3 Can I message someone I haven’t matched with?

no, only users who have indicated a mutual interest in one another are allowed to chat.

5.4 Can I invite someone i havent matched with ?

Yes you can invite if you like a profile . there are limitations on the no of invitation you can send each day . Please see our membership plans ( show link to membership plan )

5.5 How do I report someone?

You can report users that you have already matched with, and users you haven’t matched with. To report someone, go to their profile, hit the menu icon (ellipsis icon) and hit report.

5.6 Hapy says “There’s no one new around you”

Tap the filter icon on the top right-hand corner of the discovery screen, and try changing the selected interest or create invitaion also try increasing the distance and age range. You can also try logging out and logging back in.

If you’re using an Android device, go to the phone settings, find ‘Location’, hit ‘Mode’, and select ‘High accuracy.’

5.7 Hapy is stuck on “Finding people near you”.

This may be temporary, so I would suggest trying again at a later time. Please check for any app updates.
On your device, go to Settings and make sure the GPS (location services) is enabled. You may have to open the Maps app in order for your GPS to pick up your current location.

If the issue persists, try logging out and logging back in. You can also try reinstalling the app. Just delete the app from your phone and download it again. As long as you don’t delete your account, this won’t delete your matches and messages.

5.8 Can I undo my last swipe?

Only hapy premium subscribers can rewind their last swipe using the yellow arrow on the main screen. To subscribe to hapy premium, just tap the icon on the top left-hand corner of the main screen, select ‘your membership plans ‘, and follow the instructions.

6 . Hapy premium ( Premium membership )

6.1 What is hapy premium?

It is a membership plan , whereby a user can acess some of the most wanted feature .these feature helps you increase your chances to match faster and also it increases the reach of your invitaion .it is a premium addition to the hapy experience. With hapy premium experience we’re giving our users access to some of the most-requested features. hapy premium is an in-app subscription. To subscribe to hapy premium , just tap the icon on the top left-hand corner of the main screen, select ‘membership plans ‘, and follow the instructions .

6.2 How do I get hapy Premium ?

To subscribe to hapy premium , just tap the icon on the top left-hand corner of the main screen, select membership plans , and follow the instructions.

6.3 What is note ?

It is a feature available only for premium user . In this feature you can send a note to the other user afetr you have accepted the invitation .

6.4 Why i should use the note feature ?

This is a feature before you actually match and chat with each other . You can always use the note feature , if you want more clarity on the invitaion or any other information.

6.5 Where will i see a note message ?

All the messages that will be sent as a note will be under notification tab .

6.6 Review a profile

when can i review a certain user ?

you can review a user only after you matched .

6.7 Can i delete a review on me ?

Only premium member can delete the review made on them . This feature is not available for a general user .

6.8 I am a premium member so how to delete a review?

Go to the review , press edit and select the delete option .

6.9 What is shortlist ?

It is a feature available only for premium users . U can shortlist all the invitaion and than decide on which one to accept .

6.10 Where can i see the shortlisted invitation ?

You can see all your shortlisted invitation under the notification tab .

6.11 How do I change my location?

Only premium users can change their location.

  • Tap the icon on the top right-hand corner of the discovery screen.
  • click on location and Select ‘Add a new location’
  • Type a location, select it from your search results, and when a pin appears, tap the blue banner to start swiping in this location.

6.12 I can’t change my location.

If you’re unable to change your location, please check your internet connection and try again later. You can also try logging out and logging back in. Tap the icon on the top left-hand corner of the main screen, select ‘Settings’ or ‘App Settings’, scroll down and hit ‘Logout’.

6.13 I started a new hapy account and hapy premium doesn’t work anymore.

Each hapy premium subscription can only be associated with one hapy account at a time.

6.14 How do I cancel my hapy premium subscription?

Your hapy Premium subscription will auto cancel only after the stipulated time .

6.15 Can i autorenew my membership plans ?

To autorenew your subscription on your iPhone, iPad or iPod Touch directly:

  • Go to the App Store on your iOS device.
  • Scroll to the bottom.
  • Tap Apple ID (your Apple ID email)
  • Tap View Apple ID.
  • Log in if it asks you to.
  • Scroll down to Subscriptions and tap Manage.
  • Select hapy and set the auto-renewal slider to on / Off .

If the option to turn off auto-renewal is not displayed here, you may have already chosen to turn it off, canceling future charges. If that’s the case, you should be able to see the end date of your subscription on this screen.

To autorenew your subscription on your Android device directly:

  • Open the Google Play Store app.
  • Search for hapy and select hapy in your search results.
  • Select on / off ( subscribe / unsubscribe ) .
  • Confirm.

Note: After canceling your subscription, you will be able to use hapy premium for the remaining days that you have already paid for. When your subscription expires, it will not be renewed. You can opt back in at any time. Canceling your subscription will not retroactively refund subscription payments, and previously charged subscription fees cannot be prorated based on cancellation date. Deleting the app and/or your account does not cancel your subscription.

6.16 Hapy premium doesn’t work anymore

If you have already subscribed to Hapy premium but the app still asks you to subscribe, try restoring your purchase.

If you’re using an iPhone, open hapy , tap the arrow button on the main screen, and select ‘Restore Purchase’ at the bottom of the screen.

If you’re using an Android device, open hapy , tap the icon on the top left-hand corner of the main screen, go to ‘App Settings’, scroll down and tap ‘Restore Purchase.’

7. Business

7.1 How can i use hapy for my business ?

You can create an invitation for your business and invite them for shopping, dining, seminars, events etc .

Eg. You have a restaurant and you want people to try some delicious cuisine, you can invite them over a lunch, dinner.

8 . Matches

8.1 How do I unmatch (block) someone?

You can only unmatch (block) someone that you have matched with. Go to his/her profile, hit the icon in the top right hand corner, and select “block”. You’ll disappear from their chats, they won’t be able to message you anymore, and they will also disappear from your contacts .

8.2 Can I unblock someone?

Yes ,u can unblock . blocking / unmatching is not a permanent action.

8.3 How do I report someone?

You can report users that you have already matched with, and users you haven’t matched with. To report someone, go to their profile, hit the menu icon (ellipsis icon) and hit report.

8.4 I got a new notification but I don’t see a new match / notification

Try typing that person’s name in the Search bar at the top of the notification screen. If the conversation doesn’t come up, it means that person either unmatched you or deleted their account. There might be a slight delay so I would recommend trying again later.

8.5 I lost all my Matches/ chat !

Try logging out and logging back in. Tap the icon on the top left-hand corner of the main screen, select ‘Settings’ or ‘App Settings’, scroll down and hit ‘Logout’. As long as you haven’t accidentally deleted your account you should be fine! If the issue persists, please try again later. Note: If only one or two of your Matches disappeared, they either unmatched you or deleted their account.

8.6 One of my Matches / chat disappeared.

It sounds like that person either unmatched you or deleted their account. Try logging out and logging back in just to be sure. Tap the icon on the top left-hand corner of the main screen, select ‘Settings’ or ‘App Settings’, scroll down and hit ‘Logout’, then log back in.

9 . Chat / Messages

9.1 I got a new message notification but I don’t see it.

Try typing that person’s name in the Search bar at the top of the Matches screen. If the conversation doesn’t come up, it means that person either unmatched you or deleted their account. There might be a slight delay so I would recommend trying again later.

9.2 Can I message someone I haven’t matched with?

No, only users who have indicated a mutual interest in one another are allowed to chat , but you can send an invitaion requesting him to chat / connect with you.

9.3 My messages are not going through.

Make sure you have a strong internet connection but please note, this may be temporary so I would suggest trying again at a later time.

9.4 How do I know if message seen by recipient?

Hapy has four status for message delivery

  • timer icon :- waiting to publish
  • grey tick :- delivered to server
  • green tick :- delivered
  • blue tick :- seen by recipient

9.5 What is secret chat ?

Secret chat is a feature in chat whereby the messages that you exchange are not saved . Once you are out of the chat window all your history will be deleted . Nothing is recorded or stored in both the devices and server . Secret chat helps you keep your privacy safe .

9.6 Can i lock / unlock app ?

yes , you can lock / unlock your app .

  • Go to settings , click lock .
  • Select the four digit password . And reconfirm the password .and your app will be locked .

9.7 How do i recover my password ?

In case you forget the password you can recover through your date of birth which you have entered as a backup solution .

10. Verified Profiles

10.1 Can I request a verified badge?

Only some public figures, celebrities and brands will be verified. If you don’t have a verified badge, there are other ways to confirm the authenticity of your profile. If you are a public figure and would like to request a verified badge, please send an email to verified@hapy.mobi. note: emailing us doesn’t guarantee that you will be verified. Please let us know if we can help with anything else!

11. Refunds

11.1 How do I request a refund?

If you subscribed to hapy premium using your Apple ID, refunds are handled by Apple, not by hapy . If you wish to request a refund, go to iTunes, click on your Apple ID, select “Purchase history”, find the transaction and hit “Report Problem”. You can also submit a request at https://getsupport.apple.com

If you subscribed to hapy premium from your Google Play Store account: please send an email to payments@hapy.mobi with your order and we’ll process your request as soon as possible. You can find the order number in the order confirmation email or by logging in to Google Wallet.

Note: Refund requests may only be accepted if requested within a week of the transaction date.

12. Files

12.1 What kind of files are supported by hapy for sharing ?

All kind of file formats supported for sharing with your contacts.

12.2 What is the maximum file size can be uploaded ?

You can upload upto 100 mb file size.

12.3 How many days uploades files are kept in server ?

We delete the uploaded files once it is delivered to the end user .
